DESCRIPTION:LACNIC 34 – LACNOG2020 will be held virtually from 2 to 9 October. This will be the 10th anniversary of the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Forum. \nTopics will include DNS\, Interconnection and Routing Security\, IPv6\, and Resource Management. It will also include presentations on technical topics\, the Public Policy Forum\, as well as other activities organized together with LACNOG. \nOn Wednesday at 19:10 (UTC)\, Massimo Candela\, Senior Software Engineer at the Global IP Division a division of NTT will be presenting on the ‘Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Internet Latency: A Large-Scale Study.’ \n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Massimo Candela is a Senior Software Engineer at the Global IP Network\, a division of NTT\,  focused on developing applications to guide decisions and to facilitate day-to-day Internet operations. Some of the open-source tools he developed are the go-to resources for network operators to monitor certain aspects of Internet performance. Currently\, he is contributing to the automation and monitoring of the NTT Global IP Network\, one of the largest backbone networks in the world.
